This week, we at SimplyDo are delighted to celebrate a major success for our customer, Caerphilly County Borough Council (CCBC). CCBC won not one, not two, but three awards at the prestigious Wales GO Awards 25/26, an event dedicated to "Celebrating outstanding public procurement in Wales", including the highly coveted “GO Excellence Award”.
The Council’s exceptional performance is a testament to the transformative and excellent work of their procurement team and processes. Their outstanding commitment to innovation was recognised with wins for both the “Collaborative Procurement Initiative Award” and the “Procurement Transformation Through Technology Award”.
The recognition is very well deserved. CCBC’s team is working hard to keep the Council at the frontier of local authority excellence in SME engagement. Their dedicated approach ensures that all business voices across the county are heard, encompassing small and very early businesses alongside more established and well-known providers.

The "Procurement Transformation Through Technology Award" specifically highlights the Council’s successful integration of innovative systems to improve procurement outcomes. Our LocalSearch system contributed to this success through expertly designed technology aiming to surface hard-to-reach and lesser-known businesses in hyper-local and specific areas, which is critical for helping Caerphilly procure high-quality services and products more locally.
