Our purpose and passion is to engage and enable individuals, organisations and communities to make their ideas happen. We do this through the provision of innovative technologies, tools and training to rapidly capture, develop and test ideas.
Chief Executive Officer
I am passionate about the development of enterprising minds. This is rooted in my previous experiences as a young person launching my first business. In three very challenging years, I built a specialist recruitment business right through to a successful exit. I then spent over ten years delivering enterprise curriculum and startup programmes across government and education achieving a PGCE and Masters in Enterprise Education along the way. I have a keen interest in technology and gadgets and how these can make our lives better.
Chief Technology Officer
I've always maintained a strong interest in technology, which is reflected in my background in computer science and software engineering. I hold a PhD in computer science from Cardiff University, where I also lectured and joined subsequent research projects. At Simply Do Ideas my roles include business and technological strategy, along with managing the development and implementation of our technical and product roadmaps. I am excited to see how our platforms can help guide the next generation of young entrepreneurs and facilitate innovation across a wide range of organisations.
Head of Research and Development
I am excited and inspired by synergy between research and business development, especially in relation to start-up/SME environments. This is grounded by my previous experience in managing knowledge exchange and research activity between 3 incubators and the University of the West of England. I also have a broad-base of understanding of the challenges of working with SMEs and large public-sector organisations in the Health sector formed through 8 years of experience in Higher Education sector. I am a published researcher and currently undertaking a PhD focused on innovation and entrepreneurship at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Product Experience Manager
As Product Experience Manager, I ensure that our users have the best possible experience with Simply Do Ideas. From a strong sporting, academic and performance background, I enjoy a challenge, problem solving and light-hearted competition. Since starting my own business from scratch with no funding and working on it part-time, I feel that I have a lot of common ground with new entrepreneurs. I have a particular interest in digital marketing and the way businesses interact with their customers.
I`m a Software Engineer undertaking a Year in Industry at Simply Do Ideas inbetween my second and third year studying Computer Science at Cardiff University.
Senior Business Manager
I’m an education and training professional who specialises in business development, strategy and improving productivity. I am excited and inspired by ideas that require the convergence of skills, experience and beliefs across organisational boundaries that are congruent with my own and which are pivotal to developing a world class entrepreneurial culture in this region. I am a commercially focused individual with a polished public and private sector background and the impressive range of posts I have held are indicative of my success in developing networks.
Senior Business Manager
I am passionate about developing businesses and people. This comes from my experiences as a teacher as well as launching my own successful businesses that have been sold or acquired. Further to this, I progressed to MD of Sports Xtra Franchising, the company that acquired my business. I was also elected to the board of directors of the British Franchise Association and sat on the Board of COMPASS trade association (Now UK Active). I am alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business programme.
Xantia Salamanca Robins
As Innovation Officer my role is to deliver projects on behalf of high-profile corporate, educational and public sector clients. My background in working and representing the technology industry in Wales has equipped me to understand the challenges faced by SMEs and how best to support them and making a positive impact. I have always been passionate about technology and education this has led me to become a STEM Ambassador, with the goal to encourage the next generation into a STEM career, whilst also closing the diversity gap in the industry.
I'm a Software Engineer currently undertaking a year in industry placement at Simply Do Ideas before finishing my final year at Cardiff University studying Computer Science.

Experienced and successful business leader. Grew the TES business in Bridgend from a start-up to a business of 140 staff located on 3 continents with revenue of (50M. Selected member of the Welsh Government representation at MIT’s REAP programme helping to steer enterprise support policy. Investor in a range of startups through his company Catalyst Growth Partners.
